Trophy Info
Statewide Patrol Officers from all over The
State of Texas recently competed for the top gun trophy in
Austin, Texas on Saturday, September 29th, 2007.
CONGRATULATIONS to Officer/Instructor Aubrey
Deal- the new "2007 Top Gun Trophy Winner".
Aubrey, one of our Firearms Instructors in the Austin
Academy competed against a full field of shooters to
earn the victory. See the below listed picture of Aubrey
holding the final target. The final winning course of fire was
all "timed" speed shooting (from the holster) from a distance of 15
yards. This was not your run of the mill target
shooting. Congrat's to Aubrey on his target which represents
"real" gun-battle shooting under a timed excerci

Statewide
Patrol Officers from all over The State of Texas
recently competed for the top gun trophy in Austin, Texas on August
19th, 2006.
CONGRATULATIONS to Officer Richard K. Power- the "2006
Top Gun Trophy Winner". Richard, our 2003 Top Gun Trophy
Winner, came back to claim the championship and keep the trophy in
Austin, Texas for yet another year.
2005 Top Gun

The
Austin Branch of Statewide Patrol is proud to
recognize Officer David Govett as the 2005 Top Gun Trophy
Winner. Officers compete for the trophy in a live-fire range
exercise which measures their handgun shooting skills.
Officers from Dallas, San Antonio and Austin competed in the recent
event where Officer David Govett, Richard Power
(our Director of Security) and Sgt. Robert
Klark all shot a perfect 250 out of a
possible 250 first round score to continue onto the finals
where Officer David Govett prevaled. The "Top Gun
Contest" is held annually and is open to
all commissioned armed officers employed by
Statewide Patrol.

prizes, cash bonuses and of course all the BarBQue you can
