Upon successful completion of the selection requirements each applicant must attend an Orientation Class and go through Pre-Assignment Training taught by a certified instructor.  This course consists of the following subjects: 

Public Relations Emergency response Verbal skills Use of force Physical Private Security Professional Attitude Appearance Report Writing Field Note Taking Legal Aspects Arrest Procedures Handcuffing Techniques Post Orders & Duties Fire Control and Prevention Bomb Threats Haz-Mat Events Serious Injury

Access control systems Alarm and camera monitoring Rule enforcement Crime prevention Recognition of signs of criminal activity Information and document security Equipment operation Commercial office building mechanics Identification checks Visitor screening Constitutional Law Civil Law (slander, probable cause, rules of evidence etc) Criminal Law (Felonies & Misdemeanors) Safety Procedures Terroristic Threats & Procedures Radio Procedures Patrol Techniques

Some of these course(s) involve acting out hypothetical situations which may confront security personnel in every day situations.
